Glass is everywhere
From the time you wake up until the time you go to sleep, you will be around some form of glass.
Now you see it, now you don’t.
Glass starts your day with a sparkle: a glance at your watch, a gaze through the glaze at the sun or the rain, a frown in the mirror, a song from the shower, as you wash with water trickling down warm from the solar panels on the roof.
Glass is an essential part of life. The varieties of glass differ widely in chemical composition and in physical qualities. By choosing the right performance glass, you can enjoy your views and natural lighting while controlling UV and glare.
Types of Glass
Float Glass, otherwise known as annealed glass, is the core base product for most of performance glass products and is the most common glass seen in Australian homes.
Float Glass offers no additional performance benefits in terms of insulation or reduction in solar heat gain
Float Glass will shatter and may product dangerous shards of glass if broken
Toughened Glass is a safety glass that has increased strength and will commonly shatter into small pieces when broken.
Toughened glass will shatter into small relatively harmless pieces if broken
Toughened glass is stronger than annealed glass
Various forms of glass including performance glass can be toughened
Laminated Glass is made up of two or more layers of glass permanently bonded together with an inter-layer. It is designed to be a safety glass, as when it is broken, the glass particles tend to adhere to the film, providing increased protection, compared to toughened or float glass, from flying or falling glass fragments..
Laminated glass will hold together if broken reducing the risk of danger from broken glass
Obscure Options - Update glass options - check with Amber - obscure range
There are more obscure glass types available now than ever before. This type of glass is patterned or frosted, creating a blurred effect and preventing it from being clearly seen through. It is used where light but not transparency is desired, helping to maintain privacy.
Glass Co has teamed with with GLASS AUSTRALIA to actively promote and offer a full range of glass types never seen before in the Midwest.
Spreadsheet thickness of glass types (float, laminate, toughened) - update existing spreadsheet, could this be updated to not only obscure but clear??
double glazing - definition, advantages and disadvantages, information, option to fit with smart glass/to further control heat/light, acoustic value, energy efficiency, incorporating tinted glass, air space size?,single vs double, example image
Double Glazing otherwise known as Insulated Glass Units (IGU’s) or Double Glazed Units (DGU’s) consist of two panes of glass bonded to both sides of an air spacer to create one unit.
Low E / comfort plus - definition, advantages and disadvantages, information, uValue, Visible Transmission, Solar Heat Gain Coefficient, images with breakdown of how it works,
Low E Glass or Low Emissivity is specifically designed to release less heat energy and slow the rate at which heat transfers through the glass. It has a microscopically thin, transparent coating, that reflects the love-wave infrared energy. To use a simple analogy, Low E Glass works the way as a thermos. Low E glass is available in a range of colours including Clear, Neutral, Blue, Green, and Grey.
ComfortHush
difference between comfort hush and low e
When there is a need for noise resistant glass the choice is clear - Comfort Hush Laminate. Created specifically for noise reduction and available from Glass Co NOW. ComfortHush is an acoustic performance glass, which also features a durable Low E coating. This product features a special 3-layer acoustic PVB laminate that is specifically designed to reduce sound transmission. link to website, maybe button for brochure??
Any other smart glass products??

Stormshield currently has its own page, so does arbourshield, did you want to keep it as a seperate cyclonic page ?
Could write short info here with a link to cyclonic page
